Sky1 HD is proud to announce the arrival of the brand new epic adventure series, Sinbad.  This is an exclusive UK premiere and will be aired in July 2012.

Sinbad takes a much loved action hero and totally reinvigorates the brand for a modern audience. This is the 8th century with a 21st century spin; high octane, muscular, mystical, sexy, humorous and thought provoking - without a curly slipper in sight!

Young streetwise Sinbad (Elliot Knight) is thrown out of Basra with a curse on him for having killed a man. This tragedy also led to the subsequent death of his beloved brother. Unable to spend more than 24 hours on land, our hero embarks on an epic action packed quest to rid himself of the curse.

Sinbad's adventures will take the viewer into a huge variety of visually exciting and stunning worlds on sea and land.  The star-studded cast features Naveen Andrews (Lost), Sophie Okoendo (Hotel Rwanda) and Timothy Spall (Harry Potter, The King's Speech).

Sinbad has been created by BAFTA and EMMY winning Impossible Pictures and written by a team led by Jack Lothian and Russell Lewis, whose credits include EMMY and BAFTA award winning shows such as Spooks, Hornblower, Shameless and Murphy's Law. This is sure to be a hugely popular show and will be an appointment to view TV for all the family.
