Spy Series 2:

Sky1 is proud to announce the return of the hit comedy ‘Spy' which has been recommissioned for an even bigger, even better second series - with 10 brand new episodes and an hour long Christmas special. This is an exclusive UK premiere and will be aired in 2012.

Spy follows hapless single father Tim (Darren Boyd - Case Sensitive, Holy Flying Circus), whose one aim in life is to get his precocious son Marcus (Wright) to like him. The first series saw Tim accidentally recruited into MI5, and followed his attempts to balance his secret life as a trainee agent with his chaotic domestic life. 

Under the watchful eye of The Examiner (Robert Lindsay - My Family), Tim surprised himself by successfully qualifying as a fully-fledged secret agent, albeit without winning the heart of his colleague Caitlin (Rebekah Staton - Pulling).

The new series will follow Tim as a newly qualified agent as he continues to keep his secret from those closest to him and attempts to win the love of his son.

Spy premiered as part of Sky 1 HD's Comedy Fridays and attracted acclaim from both critics and the public for Simeon Goulden's script, alongside performances from Darren Boyd (who won Best TV Comedy Actor at the British Comedy Awards 2011) and newcomer Jude Wright. Robert Lindsay as the unconventionally eccentric ‘Examiner' was yet another standout!
