Sky Pub Sports is measured by IpsosMORI who are the largest independently-owned market research company in Great Britain and IPA approved.
In order to effectively capture out-of-home viewing to all sporting events, IpsosMORI recruits and manages an out-of-home viewing panel of 7,973 (3,418 M1834) adults.
The Sky out-of-home viewing panel is the largest out-of-home viewing panel measuring viewing to Sky Sports in the UK. It provides:
- Up to 8 different sporting events each week
- Attention and appreciation questions
- Additional questions on brand / advertising awareness
- Monthly discussion topics
e.g. "The best thing about watching live sports in the pub"
The Viewing Panel
IpsosMORI
IpsosMORI are experts in standard industry currencies. In the UK, they are involved with all the major media measurement contracts, covering print (NRS), TV (BARB) and radio (RAJAR), as well as the British Business Survey.
The Panel
An Establishment survey is conducted annually to determine the universe size and profile. The essential question asked is: "Have you ever watched any live sporting events on TV in places other than your own home or someone else's home"?
The gross online panel size is currently 7,973 Adults- with a reporting sample of over 400 per week or over 1,600 every 4 weeks.
Questionnaires are emailed to respondents on a weekly basis with match results made available to Sky the following week.
Each respondent is permitted to fill out a questionnaire no more than once a month.
The Results
The research provided by IpsosMORI enables us to reconcile our deals and provide clients with a total number of impacts received for each live game that is purchased.
