On Remembrance Day, the nation will commemorate the sacrifices made by members of the armed forces and civilians in times of war. The Queen will lay a wreath at The National Service Of Remembrance on Whitehall.

Prime Minister David Cameron attends the 6th G20 Summit in Cannes. French President Nicolas Sarkozy will host the forum for world leaders, which will discuss the current state of the world economy and the financial markets.

The National Gallery opens its doors to the most complete collection of works by Leonardo Da Vinci to date. Leonardo Da Vinci: Painter At The Court Of Milan promises to be one of the most popular art exhibitions ever.

Wednesday 30 November

The TUC day of action. Nearly three million people are expected to protest against government plans to increase workers' pension contributions. If forecasts prove correct, it will be the biggest mass walkout since the 1926 General Strike.
