Eric Cantona Announces Space Mission to Prove Kronenbourg 1664 is Le Taste Suprême in the Entire Universe

Eric Cantona has announced that he is going to space in order to prove that Kronenbourg is ‘Le Taste Suprême’ in the entire universe.

Richard Barnes, Marketing Manager for Kronenbourg 1664 said: “For years, we’ve known that Kronenbourg is le taste supreme in this world so the only place left to go is the final frontier, proving it’s the best tasting beer in the universe. Eric is a long-term fan of Kronenbourg and whether in football, in film, in literature, in press conferences or in life, he’s never been afraid to push boundaries and do what others could not or would not do. For Cantona, this trip will be one small step, but for beer – a giant leap.”

Kronenbourg will launch the brand’s first-ever ‘breaking news’ spot within a live sports match with Sky Media. The 30” press conference, broadcast during the England v Holland UEFA Nations League semi-final on Sky Sports, stars footballing legend Eric Cantona.

In the news conference, Cantona declares his commitment to travel into space to ensure Kronenbourg is the best tasting beer in the entire universe, and not just in the world.

Eric Cantona has been a long-standing presence for the brand, finding himself in unique situations to prove the premium lager is truly Le Taste Suprême.

Behind the scenes training videos of Eric’s arduous journey preparing him for his trip to space will be chronicled on Kronenbourg’s website (www.k1664.co.uk ) as well as across social and VOD, before the highly-anticipated lift-off on July 5th.

The launch is being supported with limited edition design cans and packaging of Kronenbourg beer, as well as a gravity-defying monument being unveiled in Victoria Station on June 6th to mark the occasion.
