As I’m sure you are aware, more and more companies are embracing automation in many of their workflows. Sky have found that automation is more accurate, more reliable and frees up employees in order for them to dedicate more time dealing with complicated issues that in turn gives a better service to our customers.
With this in mind, we are requiring all agencies to use CARIA for sending copy instructions (except for spot by spot and AdSmart rotations which is dealt with in paragraph 4 below). This will take effect for any campaigns that have a start date of 1st of June 2019 and beyond. CARIA is already widely used in the industry and we are confident that going forward it will improve processes for our linear scheduling and will also aid us as we develop our Vod and AdSmart platforms.
We realise that some of you do not yet have access to CARIA or had training on how to use it. We have discussed this with Optimad Media Systems (who own and operate CARIA) and they have agreed to work with you to give you access to the system (at no additional charge to you) and, also provide training where necessary (training can be provided remotely). We suggest you contact them at your earliest opportunity to arrange this, details below:

At present, CARIA does not process spot by spot and AdSmart rotations. We are reviewing this process with Optimad Media Systems and until such time as CARIA caters for these processes, rotations of this nature can continue to be sent via email to trafficcopyrotations@sky.uk or adsmartcopyrotations@sky.uk or such other address as we may provide you with from time to time.
