This year’s list saw the media represented on the Top 100 list for the first time in recent years. Sky the highest climbing company in the index moving up 133 places to reach 29th on the list cracking the top 30 for the first time ever! The passion and belief of our employees paired with the support of our senior leadership team are the key to making us a Stonewall Top 100 Employer 2018.
Stephen van Rooyen, Chief Executive Officer UK & ROI, Sky said: “We are incredibly proud to be the only organisation from the media sector to be recognised by Stonewall as a Top 100 Employer for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people. This achievement demonstrates Sky’s ongoing commitment to inclusion, at all levels within our business. It is also testament to the engaging initiatives led by our LGBT+@Sky employee network. Increasing diversity, thereby accessing the most diverse set of experiences and ideas, helps to ensure that we reflect our customer base and make balanced business decisions.”
* Stonewall’s annual Workplace Equality Index is the definitive benchmarking tool for employers to measure their progress on lesbian, gay, bi and trans inclusion in the workplace.
