Sky’s involvement across Advertising Week Europe

Find out about all the sessions Sky will be hosting across the week

Sky is back at Advertising Week Europe and this year as a Gold level sponsor.  As the largest annual gathering of ad tech, advertising, creative, entertainment, marketing and media industry leaders on the continent, this is a must have event for your calendar.

Taking place from 18-22 April, Sky will be delivering engaging sessions across the week with guest speakers and insight into all areas of the business and industry.

On Monday, Jamie West, Sky Media Deputy MD and David Fisher, Head of Digital at Sky Media, joins representatives from Havas London, DastaXu and Drawbridge on a ‘Cross Screen Summit’ looking at the phenomenon and explosive growth of cross screen behaviour. This on-going, landmark shift in consumer content consumption will be examined by a best-in-class group from both sides of the Atlantic.

The first day will close in style with Sky hosting a Game of Thrones themed gala in partnership with Advertising Week Europe.  This immersive event will take place in the iconic and opulent surroundings of Southwark Cathedral.  Come along to take your seat at the Throne but be sure to watch out for dragons!

The week continues on Tuesday at 9.45am with ‘Believing in Better’ on The Guardian Stage.  With more than 21 million customers, Sky will talk about the critical importance of advertising and marketing to its strategy and how its unique customer insight, world-class content and embrace of new technology helps delivered continued success.  Hosted by Gideon Spanier from Campaign and Media Week and with Andrew Mortimer, Director of Brand and Media at Sky, this is sure to be an insightful session.

Wednesday sees Sky ‘Running Barefoot Across Boarders’ at 2pm on the Getty Images Stage.  With a guest panel including Celia Taylor, Head of Non-Scripted Commissioning at Sky, this session will delve into acquiring, commissioning and producing content and the processes, successes and challenges faced across Europe in a changing TV market.

To conclude their involvement across Advertising Week Europe, Sky rounds up with ‘Game of Thrones: From Page to Screen’.  With the hotly anticipated brand new series just around the corner, this session will take a look behind the scenes at the phenomenon that is Game of Thrones!  Sky Atlantic and Sky Media invite you to learn a bit more about how the dramatic tales of George R R Martin make it from the page to the screen.
