The recently-launched Sky AdVance has won a number of awards at the Connected TV World Summit 2016 which took place at Kings Place, London this week.
Judges from the media, advertising and tech industries acknowledged Sky AdVance’s breakthrough innovation – directly linking TV and online advertising – in the ceremony on Wednesday 16th March. Sky AdVance won the Data-Driven TV Award, the Ad Tech Hero Award, and the most prestigious award of the evening: Outstanding Achievement in TV 2016.

John Moulding, Editor-in-Chief at Videonet and awards chair, commented: “Advanced advertising and data technologies are crucial to the continuing health of the television ecosystem and we are seeing how Pay TV operators can also diversify their businesses with ad-tech and data-tech services. Sky Media is a pioneer in both these fields. The transformative nature of what they are doing, as well as the technical innovation, helps explain the extent of their success tonight.”
Deputy Managing Director at Sky Media, Jamie West mentioned: “Sky Media is delighted to see Sky AdVance being awarded so generously by the judges, whom we thank for their recognition. We also appreciate the plaudits given to AdSmart, which has had a fantastic year and is proving that relevant targeted advertising works for viewers as much as advertisers. Sky’s advanced advertising strategy is really beginning to build momentum, and will continue to accelerate if we remain absolutely focused on delivering effective advertising outcomes for brands.”
