Sky Media and Channel 5 are pleased to announce the return of heritage dating show Blind Date, originally hosted by the iconic Cilla Black and revamped for the 21st Century.
The much-loved dating show will be hosted by comedian Paul O’Grady, who has become a national treasure both as himself, and alter ego Lily Savage. He’s hinted that LGBT couples will feature pushing for diversity. The show’s comeback is a major fixture in the media, and the buzz is anticipated to continue.
The show promises to retain the classic format sprinkled with a cheekier edge. Three suitors are introduced and will be asked a series of questions by a singleton who can hear, but not see them. Based on their answer, they will chose who to date. Contestants will play the game twice per episode.
The loved-up pairs will be whisked away on a romantic date to an exotic or challenging location. We find out how they got on in the following episode. There will be flirting, fall-outs and there may even be love.
