The Report

Every year, hay fever affects one in five people in the UK (with the number of sufferers rising each season).  Whilst there is no known cure, our up-to–the-minute Pollen Reports provide Sky News viewers with essential information on the affected areas around Britain by severity level.  It also offers the right brand unique exposure to an ABC1 adult heavy audience amongst popular editorial.

Sky News provides the viewers with incremental information on the pollen forecast in order to help hay fever sufferers manage their symptoms throughout the three month height of pollen season.

This information will include facts and advice based on the weather, biological factors and geographical location. The reports will include detailed coverage of the three phases of the pollen calendar:

  • May – Tree Pollen
  • May – July: Grass Pollen
  • June – July: Weed Pollen

Scheduling

Period1st May 2017 – 31st July 2017

Duration: Up to 1 minute report

Frequency: Daily at 07:15; 08:15; 1845; 1915

Running next to our weather update, the reports are scheduled four-times across the day making it easier than ever to find the latest pollen updates.

Opening Credits: 1 x 10 second audio/visual

Closing Credits: 1 x 5 second audio/visual
